Solicitation for Papers
Innovative Radar Technologies - Expanding System Capabilities

"Innovative Radar Technologies - Expanding System Capabilities" is the theme of the upcoming 2004 IEEE Radar Conference to be held in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The organizers of this conference are pleased to announce that the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems will feature a special section that consists of a collection of papers based on the best contributions to the conference technical program. This paper solicitation is an adjunct to the 2004 IEEE Radar Conference call for papers that can be found at www.radar04.org. Original papers are desired that describe new advances in radar system capabilities that have resulted from recent developments in physics and technology (e.g., materials, devices, scattering, etc.), as well as applied mathematics (e.g., signal and data processing, information theory, etc.). Papers describing advances in multi-function integration, system architectures, and innovative applications of radar and radar techniques are also encouraged. Authors of accepted conference papers that are identified as good candidates for the special section will be invited to submit a paper to the special section of the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems. The full papers will be subjected to an expedited peer review process the same as regular submissions to the transactions. Authors are strongly encouraged to include a brief statement indicating how their conference paper fits well with the conference theme.

Schedule:

30 September 2003    2004 IEEE Radar Conference paper summaries due (1,000-1,500 words submitted in electronic form).
